Murray Duke

Oldest son of Alan and Jean

Murray was born in the spring of 1972 in the western Canadian city of Edmonton.

Murray's childhood was quite normal, filled with usual shenanigans of a young lad. His parents taught him the value of self reliance, which later became instrumental to succeeding in a different land.

Murray left University and boarded a plane he mistakenly thought was bound for Hawaii. He ended up in Japan instead! Five years later his life changed when he was introduced to Keiko though a good friend.

Today, Murray works at Cisco Systems in Tokyo Japan. He enjoys home roasting coffee, shochu, movies, and when not feeling lazy, a nice bike ride.

Keiko Mine

Oldest daughter of Toyohiko and Harumi

Keiko was born in the fall of 1974 in the small Nagano town of Suwa, Japan.

Keiko's childhood was filled with music and happiness, she herself learning to sing opera, while her mother and sister played the piano.

Keiko made a bold move after high school and moved to Vancouver, Canada. Her years there as a student were well rewarded by gaining fluency in English and an international outlook. Although Keiko has never kissed the blarney stone, she has the gift of gab. Which explains why she enjoys interpreting between English and Japanese so much.

Today, Keiko is working as interpreter in Tokyo and studying partime at university. She enjoys singing lessons, yoga, and eating cakes!

アラン＆ジーン・デュークの長男として、1972年にカナダのアルバータ州エドモントンで誕生しました。

子供時代はイタズラもたくさんしましたが、両親から自立して生きることの大切さを学びました。この時に学んだ自立の精神が、後に異文化で生活するうえで大変役に立ちました。

大学卒業後、ハワイに行こうと思い乗った飛行機が到着した先は何と日本！（みなさん、マレー流のジョークですので笑ってください！！）日本に到着してから5年の月日が経ったある日、友人の紹介で桂子に会った時からマレーの人生は変わりました。

現在マレーは、東京にあるシスコシステムズで働いています。好きなこと（もの）は、コーヒーの自家焙煎、焼酎、映画。やる気のある時は、マウンテンバイクに乗って楽しむこともあります。

嶺豊彦＆春美の長女として、1974年に長野県諏訪市で誕生しました。

音楽に囲まれた幸せな子供時代を過ごした桂子。お母さんや妹のピアノに合わせて、歌を歌うことも学びました。

高校卒業後、カナダのバンクーバーに留学しました。バンクーバーでは英語を学んだだけでなく、国際感覚も身に着けました。でも、英語が話せるようになった1番の理由は、もともとおしゃべりの桂子は黙っていることができなかったからでしょう！そして、おしゃべりだからこそ、通訳することが大好きなのかもしれません。

現在桂子は、東京で通訳として働く傍ら、大学生（通信）として勉強もしています。好きなことは声楽のレッスンやヨガ。あと、ケーキを食べるのも大好き。
